Karl studied trumpet at the Royal College of Music and spent many years playing in stage bands for numerous West End musicals such as Ain’t Misbehavin’, Five Guys Named Mo, Sophisticated Ladies and Soul Sister. He’s also played with Joe Loss Big Band and UB40.
Karl finally arrived inevitably, into the world of jazz, inspired by the songs of Chet Baker, Mark Murphy, Nat King Cole, Mel Torme and Antonio Jobim.

Karl is thrilled to have recorded his own album “Calling Card” produced by Liane Carroll and mixed by Derek Nash at Crowne Pocket Recording Studios.
